Fall for the Arts: PechaKucha
PechaKucha Night
PechaKucha Night was devised in Japan in 2003 as an event for young designers to network. It has turned into a massive celebration, with events happening in hundreds of cities around the world. Drawing its name from the Japanese term for "chit chat," it rests on a simple presentation format: show 20 images for 20 seconds each. It's a format that makes presentations concise, and keeps things moving at a rapid pace. For this edition, we invite Island artists to present as part of Art*Island’s Festival of Arts and Ideas. Reservations are required only if you’d like to present. Call Katy at 508-627-4441 x123 or e-mail kfuller@mvmuseum.org. Free and open to all to watch. Food and drink will be available for purchase at the hotel.
